DUTIES/RESPONSIBILIES:

Assists an Instructor in the supervision and instruction of students with developmental disabilities in order to provide basic skill development in the areas of domestic skills, leisure skills, community and vocational skills; assists an Instructor in the organization and supervision of extracurricular activities; receives direction from the Instructor assigned; provides training in a wide variety of community-based settings which may require using public transportation or driving a county vehicle

Assists an Instructor in implementing daily lesson plans for assigned students in order to meet objectives as established on the students’ Individual Educational Plan as required by, but not limited to, community training plans, lunch/snack programs, adaptive equipment programs, computer programs, routine medical procedures and systematic instruction plans Assists an Instructor in maintaining a classroom environment which is conducive to learning and free of health and safety hazards

Assists an Instructor in the preparation and maintenance of written records and reports as required on, but not limited to, student attendance, program objectives, behavioral data and progress data for regular evaluations and for revision of Individual Educational Plans

Assists students to get on and off transportation vehicles Performs as substitute for the Instructor in small group skill activities or in the Instructor’s absence for short periods Participates in and/or provides staff training programs; reads professional literature and attends seminars, academic classes or workshops to enhance professional knowledge and skills in areas such as, but not limited to, behavior modification, systematic training, counseling, normalization, developmental disabilities, instruction and/or curriculum development; attends and participates in staff meetings to obtain and provide information

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist participants to explore educational, social, recreational resources and employment opportunities in the community utilizing agency vehicles and/or public/alternative transportation.  Facilitate and provide Discovery, training, support, inclusion and accommodations for participants in the community and at work.  Independently engage persons served in structured and unstructured community activities and volunteer opportunities through use of agency vehicles and/or public/alternative transportation.  Facilitate/write meaningful community-based outcomes that align with each participant’s person-centered plan.  Develop employment plans in collaboration with Employment Services.  Deliver services which adhere to CMS, DODD and CARF rules and standards.  Ensure compliance with federal, state and local rules and statues.  Maintain an environment free of health and safety hazards.

Establish, maintain and promote excellent working relationships among participants, community sites and employers.  Develop partnerships with community resources utilizing networking skills and knowledge of the Columbus metropolitan area using agency vehicles and/or public/alternative transportation.  Maintain a thorough knowledge of COTA bus routes and access to the community by this means in order to use and train people served.

Uphold the rights, dignity and respect of all persons served as well as promote independence and self-advocacy skills.  Teach new skills in community settings (both hard and soft skills).  Provide assistance with meals, personal care and transport individuals to/from community activities and job sites.  Ensure the health and safety of all participants.

Attend all meetings as scheduled to provide input for the development of the ISP.  Maintain records and prepare reports that are compliant with Medicaid billing requirements via the use of ARC Information Management System (AIMS) or other applications.  Monitor progress and prepare reports detailing activities, progress and future services.  Participate in all required meetings and staff training.  Works flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed to complete duties.

Paralegal

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree or comparable paralegal experience is required. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review of subpoenas and coordinate document production; review of public record requests and coordinate document production; collaborate with other departments to gather, analyze and produce information responsive and/or related to subpoenas, public record requests, investigations and internal initiatives; provide day-to-day support to legal counsel managing litigation, internal inquiries, legal research, employment matters, federal and state proceedings, eligibility appeals, probate matters, contracts, HIPAA incident reports, and other internal compliance initiatives

Prepare summaries of factual findings, legal research, and/or sequential and chronological events for attorney; responsible for all aspects of legal case management, including maintenance of electronic records and matter management software; assist with contract management and maintaining electronic records of contracts; assist legal counsel with HIPAA compliance matters, including but not limited to, maintaining HIPAA incident reports in database, investigating HIPAA incident reports, risk analysis, notification, as necessary, and required reporting; communicate with personnel at state and federal agencies regarding administrative proceedings

Nutrition/Dietician Consultation

Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities (FCBDD) is searching for contracted nutrition/dietician consultation/support from a Registered Dietitian (in possession of a State License for Ohio) to implement a comprehensive nutrition program for children ages 0-6 served at their Early Childhood facilities. Expertise in child nutrition and federally-funded feeding programs is essential. This individual should be a Registered Dietitian with pediatric experience to support key staff around the design, management and evaluation of the nutrition program on-site and provide consultation and support to parents/caregivers in home-based settings.

 

Typical support would be for 30 hours per month and includes Home Visitations, Classroom Consultations, and Nutrition Classes: 3/year and consults with nurses and staff as requested.

 

Schedule: One eight-hour day on-site (Early Childhood Education and Family Center) per month. Remaining hours would be completed on an on-call, as-needed basis.

 

 Hourly Rate of Pay: $50.00

Supervises the training and safety functions within the transportation department. Includes supervision of assigned employees including the supervision of OBI instructors, transportation specialist and field specialists. Screens, interviews and recommends applicants for hire; disciplinary actions, grievance resolutions and other personnel actions; participates in employee performance evaluations.

Plans, coordinates, schedules and conducts training programs for employees and private transportation personnel as directed, in areas such as but not limited to commercial driver’s license/school passenger, commercial driver’s license, defensive driving, safety, first aid, CPR and AED; prepares materials and teaches session; documents and monitors required training needs of employees and private transportation personnel; maintains accurate training records; ascertains training is provided meeting all applicable laws, rules and regulations; plans, schedules and/or conducts staff development programs

Responsible for managing all accident investigations; secures accident details and reports; evaluates route performance; maintains and distributes bus and rider equipment; evaluates loading and unloading procedures both at East Compound and at drop off locations.

Assists in the recruitment of qualified drivers and assistants and may be involved is the interview process.

Supervises the tracking of attendance data for Transportation Department; follows established office procedures and priorities coordinating, tracking and processing leave requests, staff rosters and schedules, work hours and other related materials for individuals within the team.
