MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctoral Degree in Psychology (preferably Developmental), School Psychology, or related discipline from an accredited college/university required. Five years professional experience with children ages 0-22 in the field of intellectual/ developmental disabilities (IDD), especially child development, early childhood education, dual diagnosis (IDD/mental illness). In lieu of psychology degree, LISW or LPCC with required experience required; Knowledge of and experience with Ohio Rules & Laws relevant to early intervention, preschool, and school age with disabilities; must be able to pass pre-employment testing including background check and drug test; must hold valid Ohio Driver’ License-Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; must meet and maintain Board/Ohio School Plan insurability standards for driving
STARTING PAY:
$28.27 per hour to $32.80 per hour
*A higher rate of pay could be achieved with substantial related experience and/or education
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Professional training and experience in psychological assessment of children (intelligence, adaptive behavior, mental health, developmental disabilities, and functional behavioral analysis)
• Experience with a variety of trauma-informed and evidence-based counseling methodologies and behavioral treatment strategies
• Detail oriented; excellent organizational and communication (written & verbal) skills; intermediate to advanced skill with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of staff, parents, and other agency administrators.
• Have a strong customer service focus.
• Demonstrate overall commitment to and understand the rights of people with disabilities.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct psychological evaluations of referred persons ages birth to 22 using various assessment methods and instruments; complete timely reports; Provide individual and/or group psychological intervention for referred individuals; provide training and/or consultation as appropriate; Consult regarding psychological/developmental aspects of programming; offer input for development/review of individuals’ service plans (i.e., IFSP, IEP, ISP)
Assist in the development and implementation of training for staff and others; Engage in continuing education to expand/enhance professional skills and knowledge to comply with all laws and rules governing the relevant scope of practice; Participate in research as requested; serve as department/agency representative on various committees, task forces, etc.
Uphold the rights, dignity, and respect of all persons serviced and their families; ensure all aspects of the organization’s services are conducted in a manner that ensures a safe environment for participants and employees
Perform other related duties as assigned
