Adults who have developmental disabilities may be interested in participating in recreational services provided by the Franklin County
Franklin County Recreation offers a wide variety of community-based activities and events for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the afternoon and evening. We also have occasional weekend activities. Most events and outings occur in the afternoon or early evening, with occasional events and activities over the weekend. Some of these events include Theatrical performances, concerts, amusement parks, comedy shows, professional sporting events, Taste of Columbus and so much more. Every first and third Friday we have a dance at West Central School.
FCR has programs that are based on the interests of the members, as well as new programs that help them explore the local community and beyond such as travel to other cities and states, which our members love as an opportunity for adventure. We offer new experiences that promote independence, socialization and community integration.
