If the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities is closed, all Special Olympics activities for that day are canceled. All Special Olympics cancellations will be posted on voice mail and phone calls will be made. We try to be conservative in our cancellation policy. In the event of cancellations more than one hour prior to pick up times we will notify everyone by phone. If the weather worsens and practices need to be cancelled less than one hour before practice, the driver will notify you at the pick-up point. Most practices go on unless there is lightning or extreme weather conditions. If the weather changes or worsens during a practice, please be aware that we may cut practice short. You will need to be home early to greet your athletes.
