Mike Butchko joined Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities in 1988 after a couple years in residential. After a quick stint at McDowell Road, Mike spent the next 25 years with Franklin County Recreation. Some of Mike’s fondest memories are of excursions such as Cedar Point and the Friday Night Dance.
Mike transitioned to his role with Franklin County Special Olympics in 2014 where his experience and relationships with our athletes are showcased to this day. Mike continues not only to say, but to show his favorite part is the interaction with the athletes and volunteers on a daily basis. When not at work Mike enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and the best awful jokes you have ever heard.
