After a two-year pause due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Community Star Awards will return on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Villa Milano.

The Citizens Committee for Persons with Developmental Disabilities is once again sponsoring the event, which recognizes 12 outstanding individuals and organizations for their service to people in Franklin County. More than 400 people are expected to attend and celebrate the good work and accomplishments.

Award recipients will be announced in the October edition of our Dateline newsletter. Former WCMH news reporter Marcus Thorpe will serve as master of ceremonies and the Dave Powers Trio has been asked to perform. A registration form for the event, which includes dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m., also will be included in Dateline.
